As a nomination-driven organization, Excell is not exclusive, but it is selective. New member candidates are nominated as business leaders who desire to excel. Business leaders do not join Excell; rather they are nominated and invited to become a member after a thoughtful selection process. ‘Fit’ matters in building a business, and so too in putting together a highly effective ‘Board of Advisors’.
Excell works with strategic partners to identify and nominate individuals who are actively looking to pursue excellence as a business leader. Occasionally, leaders encounter Excell on their own, and opt to nominate themselves for membership. The nomination and selection process typically involves a period of time in which candidates attend a CEO-level presentation, interact with current members, and have an opportunity to work on a real-time issue. Members take the time to get to know the candidate and their company to determine if there is a good fit for a particular group.
Excell continues to grow, and establish new groups throughout the Northwest. Although we may not already have a group running in a particular area, we can start a group with as few as five members.
